Apache Corporation Selected as a 2016 Top Workplace in Houston
HOUSTON, Nov. 4, 2016 – Apache Corporation has been selected by the Houston Chronicle as a 2016 Top Workplace. The selection was based on employee feedback received in an engagement survey administered by WorkPlaceDynamics, LLC that measured organization health and workplace engagement.
“The Top Workplaces award is not a popularity contest. And oftentimes, people assume it’s all about fancy perks and benefits.” says Doug Claffey, CEO of WorkplaceDynamics. “To be a Top Workplace, organizations must meet our strict standards for organizational health. And who better to ask about work life than the people who live the culture every day — the employees. Time and time again, our research has proven that what’s most important to them is a strong belief in where the organization is headed, how it’s going to get there, and the feeling that everyone is in it together.” Claffey adds, “Without this sense of connection, an organization doesn’t have a shot at being named a Top Workplace.”
“It’s a great honor to be receive the distinction of a top workplace in Houston,” said Apache CEO and President John J. Christmann IV, “especially since this is the first time we’ve participated. I’d like to thank our employees who took the time to complete the WorkplaceDynamics survey. It’s good to get this positive feedback and confirmation that we’re on the right track. We wouldn’t be where we are if it wasn’t for the conviction and dedication of our employees.”
The complete list of 2016 Top Workplaces will be published in the Nov. 13 Sunday print edition of the Houston Chronicle and is available online at http://www.topworkplaces.com/frontend.php/regional-list/list/chron.
